Courses cost only $15 plus any equipment fee incurred. Payment of this fee will confirm your place on the course. Please note that we do not have Eftpos available at the centre, you can pay by Cash, Cheque or by Direct Credit. Growing Food and Herbs
Join Green Gardener Hannah Zwartz, to learn about building gardens, finding cheap or free materials, nourishing the soil, and growing your own food. This course covers composting, worm farms, liquid feeds, and planting seeds and cuttings.

Oil Painting for Beginners
Using water-based oils (virtually no odour), we will produce several works including a small landscape and floral image. A chance to make this versatile medium your friend!
6 x Thursdays, 1pm – 2.30pm, beginning 22nd August. This course has an additional $15 fee for materials.
NEW: Introduction to Meditation
We will look at the benefits of meditation and how it can be useful in our lives. We will explore 3 main approaches to meditation, including the history and philosophy behind these methods. Sessions include guided meditation, reading, discussions and watching related DVDs.

Kitchen Cupboard Cosmetics
Learn to make and use your own natural, ethical and low-cost face,body and hair care products. Experiment with oils, herbs and ‘kitchen cupboard’ nmaterials to make and take home products such as body scrub, moisturiser, perfume, deodorant and toner.

Bringing out the Best in Children
A course designed to help women develop positive parenting skills and explore ways to bring out the best in their children (of any age). The course draws on The Virtues Project – click here to visit Virtues Project Aotearoa, and here for the “5 Strategies” they propose, which will be covered in the course.

Women and Anger Programme
