Christmas Closure 2025

We will be closing on the 17th December 2025 and reopen again on the 12th January from 9am – 12pm, and open fully on the 26th January 9am – 3pm, we wish you and your families a safe and merry Christmas, the Kapiti Women’s Refuge Service is open 24 hours a day and 365 days of the year and can be contacted on 04 297 2595.

Over $10,000 Raised from the Texturite Reel Women’s Fishing Competition

The Texturite Wellington Limited Reel Women’s Fishing Competition is more than just a fishing event—it’s a movement for good.
Over the past three years, it has raised over $42,000 for the Kapiti Women’s Refuge, making a real difference in our community.

This year’s competition was a great success. Despite uncertain weather during the week, Saturday the 22nd of March

saw our dedicated women take to the water with enthusiasm. The incredible support from participants, volunteers, and sponsors made the event truly special.

Beyond fishing, this competition builds camaraderie and confidence while supporting essential services at the Kāpiti Women’s Centre.
