Mindfulness & The Alexander Technique
The Term 1 2014 timetable is now finalised, with all late minute additions in place! Click here for the finalised programme, including this new course from Carolyne Jamieson. Mindfulness and the Alexander Technique. A practical course using the principles of the Alexander Technique to: Heighten your awareness, change habitual patterns of thinking, ground you in your body, change the way you use your body in daily activity, reduce stress and promote calm. Sounds like a very grounding way to step into the new year!

We have one more course in the works….Mindfulness and The Alexander Technique…stay tuned for details!
Arts Trail 2013
This year the Kapiti Women’s Centre participated in the Kapiti Arts Trail. We had a wonderful range of artists exhibit their work and it allowed us to open the centre to the public so they could get more of an understanding what we do here. It was a very successful weekend with plenty of people coming and viewing the exhibits, have a coffee and some cake or buying one of our lovely pure lamb sausages. We would like to thank all the artists who helped us make our first Arts Trail destination a great success. Thanks to Abbey Wendy, Gill Allen, Jane Fogden, Jean Kahui, Margurite Osborne, Tracey Morgan, Liz Symes.
Get set for 2014!
Get organised now for a great start to 2014! We are ready to take registrations for our Term 1 2014 courses, so why not pop in and see what’s on offer? Or you can read all about it here! What are your goals for the new year? If changes are in order, why not join our meditation class, our fitness class, or the women and anger programme? If you’d like to try something new, we are offering one day courses in herbs and herbal remedies, or working with clay. If you’ll have some time to spare, have you considered joining our in depth training programme to be a KWC Volunteer? AND, if you need a helping hand to figure out your plans for 2014, we have our Setting Up a Satisfying Year course to do exactly that!!
PS Hannah Zwartz will be back in March to get us ready for Autumn in the garden (I know! You’re only just contemplating Summer!)
Our New Playground
During the school holidays Shelley and Dave from Hire a Hubby refurbished the play fort to ensure it complied with OSH standards. This is all done and not only is it safe, it is also bright, cheerful and very inviting for all the young ones visiting the centre and attending the creche. We would also like to thank First Sovereign Trust Ltd for making this possible.
